The following aspects should be paid attention to when storing scented candles:
Temperature
Avoid high temperature: Scented candles should be kept away from heat sources such as heaters and air conditioners, as well as places exposed to direct sunlight. High temperature will soften, deform, or even melt the candles, resulting in an uneven surface and damaged shape of the candles. It may also cause the fragrance to evaporate prematurely, affecting the use effect. The ideal storage temperature is generally between 10℃-25℃.
Prevent low temperature: Too low temperature may also cause damage to scented candles, such as cracks in the candles, especially candles containing natural wax materials such as beeswax. So don't place scented candles in the cold outdoors or in a low-temperature environment without insulation.
Humidity
Keep dry: Scented candles should be placed in a dry environment, and the humidity should be kept at around 40%-60%. A humid environment may cause water vapor to condense on the surface of the candles, softening the candles, and may also cause mold growth, affecting the quality and appearance of the candles. Humid places such as bathrooms are not suitable for storing scented candles.
Lighting
Avoid strong light: Strong light, especially ultraviolet rays in sunlight, will fade the color of scented candles, and may also change the chemical structure of the fragrance, causing the fragrance to change. Therefore, it is best to store scented candles in dark cabinets or drawers.
Choose appropriate packaging: If the scented candles do not have the original packaging, they can be wrapped in dark paper boxes or cloth bags to block light and reduce the impact of light on the candles.
Other aspects
Prevent squeezing: Scented candles should be placed in a stable and safe place to avoid being squeezed or collided with other objects to prevent the candles from deforming or being damaged. If multiple candles are stored, make sure there is a certain distance between them and do not squeeze each other.
Keep away from odors: Scented candles are easy to absorb surrounding odors, so avoid putting them together with items with strong odors, such as onions, garlic, etc., so that the candles do not absorb odors and affect their own fragrance.
Store separately: Scented candles with different fragrances are best stored separately to prevent the fragrances from mixing with each other and keep their respective fragrances pure.
Pay attention to the sealing: If the scented candle has original packaging, seal it after use; if it does not have original packaging, you can use plastic wrap or a sealed bag to wrap the candle to prevent dust, hair and other impurities from falling on the surface of the candle, which can also reduce the release of fragrance.
